Taking everything into account, DAX scores 8 out of 10 in our technical rating. This is due to a consistent overall performance, although we see some doubts in the very recent evolution. In the medium time frame things are still looking good.
The short term is neutral, but the long term trend is still positive. Not much to worry about for now.
Looking at the yearly performance, DAX did better than 82% of all other stocks. We also observe that the gains produced by DAX over the past year are nicely spread over this period.
DAX is currently trading near its 52 week high, which is a good sign. The S&P500 Index however is also trading near new highs, which makes the performance in line with the market.
In the last month DAX has a been trading in the 42.91 - 46.00 range, which is quite wide. It is currently trading in the middle of this range where prices have been consolidating recently, this may present a good entry opportunity, but some resistance may be present above.
Although DAX has an excellent technical rating, the quality of the presented setup is not ideal at the moment. Price movement has been a little bit too volatile to find a nice entry and exit point. It is probably a good idea to wait for a consolidation first.
