Royal Jordanian Airlines has reached an agreement with Airbus to introduce 20 new factory-built A320neo family aircraft to its fleet, replacing the 13 A320ceo currently in service, the airline’s CEO Samer Majali said in an emailed statement Sunday.

Nigeria would consider buying China's newly-certified C919 passenger jet as it grows the country's fledgling carrier Nigeria Air to 30 planes by around 2025, Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika said on Saturday. The top Republican on the Senate Commerce Committee has proposed extending the deadline for Boeing to win approval for two new variants of the 737 MAX until September 2024. Boeing faces a December deadline to win approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the 737 MAX 7 and 10 variants, or it must meet new modern cockpit-alerting requirements that could significantly delay the planes entry into service. Boeing shares fell 3.4% on Friday.

Launch company Rocket Lab by next year plans to conduct initial hot-fire tests of a new, more powerful engine that will power its next-generation Neutron rocket, the company's chief executive told Reuters. In December, it unveiled a bigger, reusable Neutron rocket, upping its competitive footing with larger vehicles from Elon Musk's SpaceX and United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Boeing Co and Lockheed Martin Corp. "We'll start to see tanks roll out of the factory by the end of this year," Rocket Lab USA Inc Chief Executive Peter Beck said in an interview on Wednesday, referring to the first carbon composite molds of Neutron's booster stages.
